(just about) one year ago

Not the best of days. I started throwing up this afternoon. How awful. But [the Sergeant] did something so sweet--he cleaned the kitchen and made pancakes for dinner. Aww. :)
(from my journal)

That was the beginning of my morning-noon-and-night sickness. A year ago I was sick...and today I have a beautiful baby boy!!

  1. And what an adorable baby boy, at that!

Isn't it nice to look back and see how much has changed in just a year? I bet you can't even remember life without the little Mister now!

  2. You do, indeed. Adorable!

I hope the Sergeant is still cooking and cleaning for you every once in a while, too.

  3. Heidi: I can hardly remember what it was like without the Little Mister in the house. It's kind of overwhelming to try to think about it...

furrow: He is very good about cooking and cleaning. Not all the time, but he always seems to know the right moments.

catherine: He is completely worth it! One of these days I'm going to write about my infertility issues, and my horrible pregnancy and delivery.....and truly, he is worth all if it.

  5. I got pancakes because I said out loud (but not really too anyone, I actually didn't know the Sergeant could hear me because he was in another room) "I wonder if I could keep pancakes down?" And he surprised me. He truly is the best. (And I *did* keep the pancakes down!)

  7. I've had 3 kids now and I still find it completely amazing and unbelievable that they were once in my belly! So incredible!

  9. And NOW I'm a gramdma of a beautiful baby boy! He truely is a blessing. If you are not a grandma, you have NO idea of what it feels like. You instantly fall in love and it's very different then the way you fall in love at seeing your own child. You worry and pray alot like you do for your child, but, still it's different. Grandma and grandpas know what I mean. When you become one, you will know too. It is truely amazing! Nothing else like it in the world. Thanks Dragonfly and Sergeant. You did well! Little Mister is precious. A rare and beautiful gift from God.
