Almost too busy to breathe..

Tuesday, of course, was our day in Luxembourg.

Wednesday we went to Idar-Oberstein for dinner
(lamb, a favorite of mine!) and a walk..

I've been waiting to take the Little Mister to play in this fountain
since my first trip to Idar-Oberstein...
when I was about 30 weeks pregnant! :)

Thursday, a trip to Trier...

Yesterday we went to the zoo in Frankfurt:

"Calling" to the gorilla the same way he calls to the cats,
rubbing his fingers together in a "if you come over here
I'll scratch you!" motion.
He did that all through the zoo!

Of course, I couldn't resist taking pictures with the giraffe statue. :)

"calling" to the zebras too...

Daddy loves carrying his little boy on his shoulders....
doesn't much appreciate the ear pinches, though!

And today we went to Manderscheid to explore some castle ruins!

We are so enjoying each other!

  6. I received your postcard yesterday! Thank you so much! I'll try to get one out to you soon. Here's a dumb question- do I need to write "Germany" after the address?

  11. wonderful pictures... :)

I love going to zoos. I steer clear of monkeys though. Having long hair is NOT the best idea near one of their cages. When I was 7 I had a monkey grab ahold of my hair.... EEEEK!

  16. Great pictures! Isn't Germany just beautiful?! I have probably (can't remember) stood in all those same spots in your photos - as my mother made us go EVERYWHERE to sight see. You are so lucky to be experiencing Germany!

    Take care - Kellan

  19. It must be so hard to be so far away from family, especially when your husband is away. But the memories and experiences must help some! The pictures were amazing.
