my sweet boys

I'm tired of being gloomy!

Actually, I'm also tired of being tired.

Everything seems to be unraveling at once, what with preparations for the deployment and my fun times driving in the snow. This sinus infection I have is possibly getting better, but in the meantime it's kicking my butt. I actually took a pregnancy test yesterday, because the only other time I've had exhaustion, dizzy spells, nausea, trouble eating, and major trouble with smells, like I am right now, was when I was pregnant with the Little Mister. (It was negative, and for that I am thankful...I had a difficult pregnancy, and would hate to go through that without the Sergeant and while chasing after the Little Mister!)

But...even during rough times there is reason to smile: just look at my boys!!

They have been fabulous the past few days, making me smile, giving me comfort when it's needed. Laughter really is the best medicine!

...although I won't say no to my codeine cough syrup...

:)

i'm very envious, your boys look lovely and you are a lucky soul. I feel your pain with the illness, being an early years teacher i seem to spend half my life with a cough a cold or a fever and it sucks!!!

What is it about daddys and their little boys that make everything seem better?

(But I do hope your antibiotics start kicking in soon!)

My goodness, I have been thinking the same thing the past few weeks- that I haven't felt like this since I was pregnant. I did eyeball the pegnancy test but I didn't take it. Congestion is not a sign of pregnancy! But, congrats on your codine. My doctor only gave me mucinex which can dry up breast milk so I couldn't even take it.

Wow -- that's an adorable photo.

Have you ever tried washing out your sinuses with salt water? My mom swears by it and my best friend just wrote to me yesterday... also swearing by it. I think there's some kind of ceramic pot that you can buy to flush your sinuses out... (I love giving helpful advice.)

It sounds like so many people (myself included) have been feeling down this winter. And you have extra reason with the deployment.
Hang in there. Spring has GOT to be coming soon!

By the way - how long is this deployment and where is he going? My hubby is at balad (sp?)

Oh, sinus infections are the WORST. I'm sorry you are sick and am sending you get well vibes.

Oh, deployment. Oh, POO.

And have you tried those new Kleenex by Vicks? The old smell of childhood without the grease. They make being sick not so bad.....

When I saw "tired of being tired" I thought...ohhhh...she might be pregnant! Guess not!

Maybe it's just the cough syrup tired you out.
